How much does a garage conversion cost?
Our typical single and double garage prices, and what changes them.
Standard single garage conversions typically range between £9,000 and £11,000. Standard double garage conversions typically range between £17,000 and £25,000.
What moves the price: bathrooms and kitchens, bi-fold doors, the state of the existing floor and walls, and anything structural. A detached or freestanding garage needs a tailored quote.
Building control inspection fees are on top, typically £400 to £600 through an approved inspector or £650 to £800 through the council's LABC service.
